Utilizing multiple social science and humanities perspectives, Multicultural Education at USI will investigate the role of relationships and the space for community in schooling, community organizations, and social service providers. Several themes will be used to organize this forum:
Leadership that not only represents the interests of the public but fully recognizes the necessity of the private space position and diverse cultural perspectives.
Participatory decision-making through public discourse.
Nurturing community development through actions of cultural workers.
